Role Overview
We're hiring a senior back-end engineer who owns real problems end-to-end and shapes how the team builds, from API design and data modeling through to service implementation, production reliability, and launch.
You already use AI as part of how you think, build, test, and ship.
You'll write code that moves money in production, design and modernize the backend services the platform runs on, and lead delivery of new capability as Xe rebuilds its platform layer.
You'll work in a small team with direct access to product, compliance, and operations, own architecture in your domain, lead design reviews, mentor mid-level engineers, and partner with architects and team leads on cross-domain decisions.

Description
Xe is a cross-border payments platform. We help SMEs and consumers in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand collect, convert, hold, and send money across markets. Each year, over 300 million people use Xe for currency information and over 350,000 use us to send money overseas.

About This Role
