Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

About the Client:

We're partnering with a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in Abu Dhabi, with over 50 years of international experience delivering innovative, sustainable solutions across healthcare, infrastructure, education, commercial, and residential projects throughout the UAE and beyond.

The Senior Site Architect

will be responsible for supervising on-site architectural work, reviewing contractor submittals, ensuring compliance with the design intent, and coordinating closely with all stakeholders.

You will play a key role in resolving construction-phase architectural issues and ensuring the highest standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetic integrity are achieved.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise architectural works on-site and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications
  • Review architectural shop drawings, materials, mockups, and contractor submissions
  • Coordinate with structural, MEP, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve design and site issues
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure quality execution aligned with design intent
  • Manage RFIs, NCRs, and construction-related architectural queries
  • Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining healthcare functionality and standards
  • Liaise with clients, hospital operators, and authorities for inspections and approvals
  • Prepare progress reports, punch lists, and quality assessments

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Master’s or healthcare specialisation preferred)
  • **Minimum 12 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a Senior Site Architect role**
  • **Strong healthcare project experience, including hospitals and medical facilities**
  • Excellent knowledge of UAE/GCC building regulations and international standards
  • Experience with FIDIC contracts and multidisciplinary coordination
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • GCC experience is mandatory
  • Professional registration (RIBA, AIA, or equivalent) is preferred

Reporting line: Report directly to the Projects Director
