Senior SharePoint Server Developer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, maintain, upgrade, and modernize SharePoint Server solutions.
• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support.
• Develop SharePoint server-side and client-side solutions using Microsoft and web technologies.
• Implement integrations with APIs, databases, enterprise systems, and SharePoint services.
• Develop SQL solutions, reporting, BI components, and PowerShell automation.
• Package solutions across development, test, UAT, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot applications, deployments, workflows, performance, permissions, authentication, and environments.
• Perform code reviews, maintain documentation, and mentor other developers.

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Seven to ten years of professional software development experience.
• Substantial hands-on experience developing enterprise SharePoint Server solutions.
• Experience with SharePoint Server 2016 and/or 2019 and on-premises enterprise environments.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with SharePoint Object Model, farm solutions, WSP packages, Web Parts, workflows, lists, libraries, search, CSOM, JSOM, and REST APIs.
• Strong SPFx development experience with TypeScript, React, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong C#, .NET, ASP.NET, WCF, WIF, and Windows Workflow Foundation experience.
• Knowledge of SharePoint farms, IIS, security, permissions, authentication, and Active Directory integration.
• Strong PowerShell, SQL Server, troubleshooting, reporting, and BI experience.

Migration and Tooling

• Experience upgrading or migrating SharePoint applications and custom solutions between server versions.
• Experience with packaging, deployment, ALM tools, and multiple environments.
• Git, TFS, SVN, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools and CI/CD experience are desirable.

Professional Skills

• Strong software engineering, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor developers.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban experience.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

Certifications

• Microsoft SharePoint and related Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
