Role overview

Reporting to the Manager, Payment Product Risk, the Senior Risk Analyst supports payment systems risk management within the Enterprise Risk Management program.

The role also supports risk monitoring for strategic enterprise and payment-systems programs and maintains policies, procedures, and reporting activities.

Payment product risk management

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and improve payment product risk approaches, engagement models, frameworks, and tools.
  • Lead organization-wide ERM training and change-management materials.
  • Guide business units in adopting the ERM program and embedding strong risk practices.

Oversight, monitoring, and reporting

  • Provide oversight and effective challenge for risks related to payment systems, initiatives, projects, and change activities.
  • Support enterprise risk reporting, emerging-risk identification, and review of risk appetite metrics.
  • Research risk issues, provide recommendations, and participate in projects as a risk subject matter expert.

Relationship management

  • Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization.
  • Communicate with internal and external risk leaders to gather and provide information, advice, and solutions.
  • Remain current on developments in the risk management field.

What you need to be successful

  • Undergraduate degree in business, commerce, analytics, finance, accounting, information systems, process management, or a related field.
  • At least five years of recent experience in risk management, process management, and business analytics or reporting.
  • Strong relationship management, presentation, thought leadership, critical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Ability to influence and constructively challenge stakeholders and apply risk practices to complex initiatives.
  • BI and GRC tools such as ServiceNow, Tableau, and Smartsheet are assets.
  • Eligibility to complete criminal, credit, identity, employment, and education checks.

Salary information

  • The target starting rate is $100,300, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications.
