Responsibilities
- Perform pre and post contract administration for different contract types (re measure and lump sum)
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities
- Prepare and maintain budgets, estimates, cash flow forecasts, cost reports
- Verify and certify consultants' and contractors' interim applications for payment and issue payment certificates
- Review and assess consultants' and contractors' claims
- Review and assess Extension of Time claims in coordination with planning engineer
- Participate in site visits and preparation of reports as directed by project manager
- Ensure submission of consultants' and contractors' insurances/bonds in accordance with contract
- Assist in close out procedure and prepare final accounts
- Advise on contractor's and consultant's resource allocation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
- 10 15 years of related work experience involving villa or building projects within UAE
- Sound knowledge of contractual and commercial management, pre and post contract administration
- Clear understanding of construction contract commercial documents, drawings and specifications
- Experience working with reputable consultants, PMC organizations, or major top tier contractors
- Excellent written and spoken English; report writing and presentation skills

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Quantity Surveyor (Villa/Building) to join our team!
- In this role you will perform a variety of commercial activities on an assigned project/program.
- Provide comprehensive quantity surveying and cost management services for a villas development project, representing the client in all commercial and contractual matters.
What You'll Be Doing
- Knowledge of pre and post contract administration for different contract types (re measure and lump sum is essential)
- Preparing / reviewing the Bills of Quantities
- Prepare and maintain budgets, estimates, cash flow forecasts, cost reports
- Verify and certify consultants' and contractors' interim applications for payment and issue payment certificates
- Review and assess consultants' and contractors' claims
- Review and assess Extension of Time claim in coordinate with the planning engineer and as directed by the Project Manager
- Participation in site visits & preparation of reports as directed by the project manager
- Ensure the submission of consultants' and contractors' insurances/bonds in accordance with the contract
- Assist in the close out procedure and prepare the consultants' and contractor's final account
- Ensure completeness and validity of contractual requirements.
- Advice on Contractor's and Consultant's resource allocation.
- Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering with 10 15 years of related work experience involving in villa or building projects within UAE, (Dubai experience is advantage).
- Must have a sound knowledge about contractual and commercial management, pre and post contract administration.
- Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, drawings and specifications.
- Experience working with reputable consultants, and/or PMC organizations, and/or major top tier contractors.
- Prior experience on villas, residential communities, or mixed use developments in the UAE is an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English; report writing and presentation skills.
