Position Objective
Manage the valuation of civil construction work and the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects.
Support completion of projects within budget while maintaining quality, compliance, and project timeline requirements.
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, clients, procurement teams, finance, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pre-tender, site work, full site, and draft budget estimates.
- Analyze groundwork tenders and support quantity surveying and procurement teams in evaluating tender potential.
- Prepare bills of quantities for nonstandard designs with the Purchasing Department.
- Create price sets and house bills, and check payments before authorization.
- Monitor valuation timetables and ensure quantity surveyors meet pre-valuation deadlines.
- Prepare monthly valuation summaries and cumulative site progress figures for Finance.
- Prepare payment applications, subcontractor payments, final accounts, claims, variations, and contractual correspondence.
- Measure and value construction work, control costs, and provide financial reports for project decisions.
Requirements
- Experience managing the contractual and financial aspects of civil construction projects.
- Ability to measure and value construction work accurately while controlling costs and maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, clients, procurement teams, and finance stakeholders.
