Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Identify quality risks during story refinement and design balanced test strategies.
• Develop automated tests for web, mobile, and backend services and perform exploratory testing where appropriate.
• Investigate defects, conduct root cause analysis, and work with developers on fixes.
• Contribute to Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing pipelines.
• Validate functionality, integrations, analytics, and business workflows across platforms.
• Support releases with regression, smoke, and production verification testing.
• Improve testability, automation frameworks, engineering processes, and test analysis using AI-assisted tools.

Technology Stack

• Applications include Native Android, Native iOS, React web applications, Java and Ruby microservices, and REST and SOAP APIs.
• Testing tools include Playwright, Appium, Selenium, REST Assured, BrowserStack, WireMock, and TestContainers.
• Engineering and DevOps tools include GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Oracle and SQL databases, Grafana, and Dynatrace.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 3–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
• Automated test development experience using Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or a similar language.
• Strong API testing and modern web technology knowledge.
• Web or mobile application testing experience in Agile environments.
• Good SQL and database validation knowledge.
• Familiarity with Git and Continuous Integration pipelines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Additional Experience

• Banking or financial services, cloud-native or microservice architectures, performance or load testing, security testing, contract testing, and accessibility testing are advantageous.
