Senior QA Engineer (Web)

Role Overview

Accountabilities

• Own QA for business features through release, ensuring functionality, stability, and user experience meet expected standards.
• Review specifications, identify testing requirements, and create test plans, test cases, and checklists.
• Execute functional, exploratory, regression, UI/UX, cross-browser, responsive, and end-to-end API testing.
• Validate applications across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and mobile-responsive environments.
• Perform REST and GraphQL API testing with appropriate test data.
• Support test automation using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or other suitable frameworks.
• Maintain test documentation and participate in peer reviews and automation-code reviews.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, architecture, and other stakeholders.
• Validate releases, conduct smoke and regression testing, and monitor production errors and performance.
• Investigate defects, identify root causes, and improve QA metrics, processes, and standards.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in QA methodology, test design, defect management, and the software testing lifecycle.
• Experience testing modern web applications and understanding client-server architecture, HTTP/HTTPS, REST, DOM, cookies, cache, and local storage.
• Hands-on cross-browser and responsive testing experience across major browsers and mobile viewports.
• Experience with browser DevTools and debugging or interception proxies such as Proxyman, Charles, Fiddler, or equivalents.
• Practical API testing experience with Postman, REST and/or GraphQL.
• Experience with Jira, Allure TestOps or similar test management platforms, and Git.
• Web test automation experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium is advantageous.
• Basic JavaScript/TypeScript or Python scripting is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Fluent Russian and good English are required.
