The role owns product quality in a fast-moving SaaS environment with frequent releases.
The engineer is expected to combine customer-focused quality thinking with an automation-first approach.
Playwright tests in TypeScript are the primary testing approach.
Responsibilities
- Own product quality OKRs and analyze customer-reported failure patterns.
- Build and maintain Playwright automation in TypeScript across UI, integration, and unit layers.
- Own the quality gate for release cycles and review pull requests lacking test coverage.
- Collaborate with an offshore QA team on regression execution.
- Partner with engineering to resolve release-blocking issues.
- Develop end-to-end test plans for features and releases.
- Advocate for quality during deployment and improve testing practices.
- Improve QA processes, tooling, and documentation.
