Cognizant is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to build and enhance the Digital Onboarding Service used across a client API platform.
The role works with a Lead Engineer, architects, product stakeholders, and engineering teams in an Agile delivery environment.
The service uses Python, serverless and containerized architecture, and a NextJS/React client frontend.
Responsibilities
- Develop secure, maintainable Digital Onboarding Service features using Python.
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices with FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
- Build AWS cloud-native solutions using Lambda, ECS Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.
- Implement integrations using REST, webhooks, and event-driven patterns.
- Apply clean architecture, design patterns, resilience patterns, automated testing, and performance improvements.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, reliable application delivery, documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Professional software engineering experience is required.
- Strong commercial Python experience with FastAPI, Flask, or similar backend frameworks is required.
