About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead the procurement function for construction, MEP, and EPC projects, ensuring timely and cost effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure the best commercial and contractual terms
- Review technical specifications and coordinate with engineering, project, and commercial teams to ensure procurement aligns with project requirements
- Manage the complete procurement cycle, including RFQs, bid evaluations, purchase orders, contract negotiations, and supplier performance monitoring
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors while identifying new sourcing opportunities
- Monitor market trends, material pricing, and supply chain risks to support strategic purchasing decisions
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites and proactively resolve supply chain issues to avoid project delays
- Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and procurement planning to maximize savings and improve operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual obligations, and quality standards
- Mentor and guide junior procurement team members and support their professional development
- Prepare procurement reports, forecasts, and management updates as required
Requirements
- 7–10 years of UAE experience in procurement/purchasing
- Proven experience in the Construction, MEP, or EPC industry is mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of local and international suppliers, procurement practices, and contract management
- Proven experience handling high value procurement packages and complex project requirements
- Excellent negotiation, commercial, and vendor management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines
