Job Overview

  • We are looking for a senior purchaser. The candidate must meet the following requirements.

Experience Required

  • 7–10 years of UAE experience in procurement/purchasing.
  • Proven experience in the Construction, MEP, or EPC industry is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the procurement function for construction, MEP, and EPC projects, ensuring timely and cost effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure the best commercial and contractual terms.
  • Review technical specifications and coordinate with engineering, project, and commercial teams to ensure procurement aligns with project requirements.
  • Manage the complete procurement cycle, including RFQs, bid evaluations, purchase orders, contract negotiations, and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors while identifying new sourcing opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, material pricing, and supply chain risks to support strategic purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites and proactively resolve supply chain issues to avoid project delays.
  • Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and procurement planning to maximize savings and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior procurement team members and support their professional development.
  • Prepare procurement reports, forecasts, and management updates as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of UAE procurement experience in the Construction, MEP, or EPC industry.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international suppliers, procurement practices, and contract management.
  • Proven experience handling high value procurement packages and complex project requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, commercial, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines.
