Role Overview
Al Hail Marine Services is hiring a Senior Purchasing Officer for its Purchasing Department.
The role leads and coordinates purchasing activities for vessels and company operations.
The position reports to the Procurement Team Leader and is performed in person.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing activities, sourcing, and supplier quotations.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and credit terms.
- Manage and evaluate suppliers and vendor performance.
- Monitor purchase orders, deliveries, and procurement costs.
- Lead and support the Purchasing Department team.
- Coordinate closely with Technical and Operations teams.
- Monitor budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain procurement records and support audits.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement and QHSE policies.
- Develop and improve procurement processes and supplier relationships.
Requirements
- Relevant purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in the marine or maritime industry.
- Strong supplier negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good knowledge of procurement processes and documentation.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a team and multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Knowledge of QHSE and procurement compliance requirements is an advantage.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 10,000–12,000 per month.
