Senior Project Risk Engineer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Manage project planning, development, and implementation across phases from pre-design through closeout.
• Facilitate meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and management teams to identify, assess, and evaluate risks.
• Prepare and implement construction project risk management plans.
• Define risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation procedures.
• Predict potential financial liability for the division using relevant operational and authority data.
• Handle costs, cost and time claims, change orders, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, to quality standards, and within agreed scope.
• Comply with applicable quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned by the line manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or management from an accredited university.
• At least 15 years of experience in engineering or project management, including risk management on large-scale projects.
• Experience identifying problems, assessing alternatives, and determining solutions.
• Reliability and initiative to deliver results without immediate supervision.
• Proven commercial risk management experience and understanding of relevant practices and procedures.
• Experience quantifying risks across cost, schedule, quality, and safety.
• Experience maintaining risk management databases, such as ARM.
• Experience with corporate risk management procedures.
• International work experience is required; KSA experience is preferred.

Pre-Construction and Project Controls

• Strong background in pre-construction management, including contract management, procurement, tendering, estimating, and cost.
• Working knowledge of schedule management from pre-design through design development, construction, and closeout.
