Role Overview
Manage and review water, wastewater treatment plant, pumping station, and desalination plant designs for regional infrastructure water projects.
Work with client design consultants and support the Project Manager in design delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of designs according to the program and client requirements.
- Support management of design engineers and consultants.
- Coordinate and monitor consultants' planned design activities and report progress against plan.
- Organize reviews of consultant deliverables with subject matter experts and design review teams.
- Perform design plan analysis and review findings for technical and business reports.
- Establish green initiatives in design processes.
- Specify analytical methods that support decision-making.
- Provide quality assessment reports to project management and the client.
- Assist Contracts and Construction teams before and after contract award.
- Comply with applicable quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties assigned by the line manager or supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- At least 15 years of experience after graduation.
- At least 10 years of design experience related to water and wastewater projects.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater master plans.
- Ability to review and approve designs related to water and wastewater works.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
