Role Overview
Senior Project Manager responsible for adoption, governance, and continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA-enabled business processes.
This is a business-facing operational role rather than an IT or SAP consulting position.
The role combines hands-on SAP S/4HANA operations with process ownership and business process management.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the business point of contact for assigned functions within SAP S/4HANA.
- Provide business input into As-Is and To-Be process design.
- Execute process-driven User Acceptance Testing.
- Review migrated data, transactions, reports, and business outputs.
- Support cutover and provide first-line operational support after go-live.
- Champion SAP adoption, change management, and user engagement.
- Support SOP, training material, and user documentation development.
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and control risks.
- Drive continuous process improvement aligned with business and compliance requirements.
- Ensure effective use of SAP standard functionality while addressing valid business requirements.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven hands-on SAP S/4HANA operational experience.
- Direct experience executing day-to-day business processes within SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience supporting live operations after SAP go-live.
- Strong understanding of SAP transactions, workflows, approvals, controls, and reporting.
- Demonstrable process ownership or process management experience.
- Hands-on experience defining, documenting, and improving business processes.
- Ability to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and operational or control risks.
- Ability to balance SAP standard processes with business and compliance requirements.
Required Background
- Operational experience in a core business function such as Finance, Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain, Service, HR, or a related function.
- Proven business process management experience.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Prior ERP or SAP transformation or program exposure is preferred.
