Job Summary
Lead the Project Controls function within the PMO for major high-rise and mixed-use developments in Qatar.
The role covers planning, scheduling, cost control, progress measurement, forecasting, risk management, executive reporting, claims support, and portfolio monitoring.
Candidates should come from Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contracting organizations and have experience with large building projects.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee project controls across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Provide project performance visibility to executive leadership and help keep projects on schedule and within approved budgets.
- Support commercial teams with Extension of Time claims, delay analysis, and claims evaluation.
- Manage controls from tender through construction, testing and commissioning, handover, and final account closure.
Mandatory Experience
- At least 8–12 or more years of project controls experience within main contracting organizations.
- At least 5 years in a Senior Project Controls Manager or Head of Project Controls role.
- Proven PMO experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with high-rise towers and large-scale building developments.
- Strong experience in planning, cost control, progress monitoring, forecasting, and executive reporting.
- GCC project experience is mandatory.
Preferred Project Background
- Experience with high-rise residential towers, mixed-use developments, commercial towers, resorts, luxury hotels, shopping malls, large podium developments, or hospitality developments is preferred.
- Experience with major urban infrastructure within building developments is preferred.
Not Suitable Backgrounds
Experience primarily in oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical, refinery, offshore platform, pipeline, industrial plant, or power plant projects is not considered relevant for this position.
