Job Summary
Oversee and manage the project controls function, including monitoring, analysis, and management of schedule, cost, and quality performance.
Develop project controls strategies and provide leadership to project controls teams.
Work with project managers, stakeholders, and functional leads to establish baselines, manage risks, and support project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project controls strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee project baselines, including schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Lead the project controls team through guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Monitor schedules, budgets, and performance indicators while analyzing variances.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions with project managers and functional leads.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with finance, procurement, and contracts management teams.
- Conduct project controls audits and reviews.
- Apply relevant industry best practices, methodologies, and tools.
- Foster accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Job Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and cost control techniques.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting project cost data and identifying trends.
- Advanced knowledge of cost estimation and budgeting principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use technology and software tools for cost tracking and reporting.
- ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required.
Experience and Education
- Minimum 8 years of working experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a relevant supervisory position.
- GCC experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
