Role Overview
A leading British outdoor apparel brand is seeking a Senior Product Developer based in Milton Keynes.
The role owns end-to-end product and material development across assigned categories and manages the Product Development and Materials team.
The role balances quality, performance, fit, cost, margin, compliance, and responsible sourcing objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product and material development from concept through production approval.
- Manage the Product Development and Materials team and maintain the development critical path.
- Coordinate prototypes, fit reviews, testing, approvals, compliance, and production readiness.
- Oversee specifications, bills of materials, testing requirements, and development documentation.
- Review supplier costings, support margin objectives, and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Manage technical risks, quality issues, corrective actions, and supplier work-in-progress reviews.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven product development experience in apparel, outdoor, or technical clothing.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading, fabrics, raw materials, trims, and testing.
