Your responsibilities?

As a Product Designer at Liberate, you will own the user experience as a system, not just a collection of screens.

You will work directly with the founding team, product, engineering and our agents to understand what matters, what is broken, what should be simplified, and what should be built next.

You will be expected to manage the product design cycle end-to-end.

We do not believe in clean hand-offs or siloed responsibilities.

You will likely find yourself in situations where the problem is ambiguous, the data is incomplete, the user is busy, and the answer is not obvious.

That’s OK.

🧠 Identify the real problem before jumping to the solution.

We care less about clever interfaces and more about whether the right user problem has been understood.

🧭 Guide product conversations when needed, using first principles, user insight, business context and clear reasoning.

🎯 Determine “what problems should we attempt to solve next” with good rationale behind your answers.

🛠️ Turn complex expert-user “cockpit” interfaces into experiences that feel obvious and useful.

🧱 Balance extendable design systems, reusable patterns and clear information architecture with AI-assisted “Shippable prototypes”.

🧑‍💻Design journeys, services and experiences; not just pages, screens and components.

🤖 It’s not about being AI-first 🤮.

It’s about using AI to simplify workflows that previously expected users to do far too much manual data entry, navigation, interpretation and admin.

💬 Comfortable designing products where the core experience may live inside a custom conversational UI, a workflow, a co-pilot, or even an existing chat application like WhatsApp.

🔍 Think through AI-specific states such as ambiguity, confidence, missing information, failed interpretation, user correction, escalation, trust, evaluation and more.

Research, Insight & Voice of the Customer

🎙️Run research sessions in a B2B environment with agents, admins, founders and internal teams.

🔬 Use the right research method for the question at hand, including user interviews, usability testing, experience sampling, ethnographic research and feedback loop analysis.

📊 Test ideas, problems and designs using both qualitative and quantitative insight.

📣 Represent the Voice of the Customer across the company and make sure user reality does not get lost in internal assumptions.

⚡ Use AI to accelerate your design process, not replace your judgment.

🧪 Build fully functioning prototypes using tools such as Figma AI, Framer, Claude, Make, Lovable, v0 or whatever gets the point across quickly and clearly.

📐 Bring deep roots in traditional web design, UX heuristics, usability principles, JTBD, journey mapping and design systems.

🧠 Know Nielsen Norman principles well enough to recite them, but be modern enough to know when AI changes the shape of the interface entirely.
