Role Overview
An established organization in Qatar is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Officer.
The role focuses on procurement of building and construction materials, supplier management, and efficient purchasing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for building and construction materials.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for competitive prices and favorable terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in SAP.
- Review purchase requisitions and ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations and conduct commercial evaluations.
- Coordinate material deliveries to project sites and monitor delivery schedules.
- Maintain procurement records, documentation, and reports.
- Coordinate material requirements with project, warehouse, finance, and operations teams.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality-related issues.
- Analyze purchasing data using Microsoft Excel and support cost-saving initiatives.
Required Expertise
- Procurement expertise.
- Building and construction materials knowledge.
- SAP purchasing experience.
- Microsoft Excel skills.
- Supplier sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement of building and construction materials.
- Strong expertise in procurement, SAP, and building materials.
- Experience sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
- Ability to manage procurement activities efficiently and comply with company policies and approved procedures.
