Senior Power Systems Consulting Engineer

Role Overview

Typical Responsibilities

• Mentor engineers, specialists, and technicians.
• Act as a technical expert in the design and application of SEL equipment and solutions.
• Research, innovate, and develop new solutions or processes.
• Review, approve, and complete scopes, budgets, and schedules for assigned work.
• Manage projects and develop processes for engineered solutions.
• Lead training and assist customers with creating, designing, configuring, validating, reviewing, installing, commissioning, and operating engineered solutions.
• Lead environmental, health, and safety activities, including training, accident investigations, reporting, and safe work practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or an applicable discipline.
• At least eight years of electric power systems knowledge and experience, or equivalent transferable industry experience.
• Expert knowledge in a focus area, specifically Power Systems Consulting.
• Excellent technical training and skills.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience.
• Electrical utility, consulting, or system integrator experience.
• Extensive power systems and customer experience.
• Working knowledge of Vision or other project management tracking software.
• Professional Engineer license is highly preferred.

Compensation

• The stated pay range is $136,100 to $170,300.
• Pay and title may vary according to job responsibilities, experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
