Firefighting Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Firefighting Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that firefighting systems are designed and executed in compliance with approved drawings, applicable codes, and project requirements.

• Design and review firefighting systems, including sprinkler, fire hose reel, fire hydrant, fire pump, and fire suppression systems.
• Prepare and review firefighting shop drawings, layouts, calculations, and material submittals.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, Civil Defense requirements, and applicable local standards.
• Coordinate firefighting systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Supervise installation activities and ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of firefighting systems.
• Review hydraulic calculations and ensure proper system sizing and performance.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection requests, and project documentation.
• Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Support troubleshooting and rectification of firefighting system issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in firefighting/fire protection systems.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and fire protection requirements.
• Experience with fire pumps, sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, and fire suppression systems.
• Ability to read and review engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of hydraulic calculation software is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
