Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed logic linked schedule for Tunnel MEP and fit out works using Primavera P6
- Establish and maintain WBS, CBS, and coding structures aligned with project and program reporting requirements
- Define construction and installation sequences for tunnel MEP, architectural finishes, and fit out activities
- Coordinate and integrate contractors' schedules into consolidated package programme and align with tunnel systems master schedule
- Prepare short term look ahead programmes (2 week, 4 week) and support site teams in planning upcoming activities
- Implement progress measurement systems for tunnel MEP and fit out activities, including earned value metrics
- Track actual progress versus baseline; identify variances, slippages, and emerging risks
- Produce regular reports (weekly, monthly) including S curves, critical path analysis, milestone tracking, and forecast completion dates
- Work closely with MEP and fit out teams to ensure installation and T&C sequences are accurately reflected in the schedule
- Plan and monitor activities related to mechanical, electrical, ELV, communication, control systems, and architectural finishes
- Support coordination of testing & commissioning phases, including pre commissioning, integrated testing, and authority inspections
- Assist in preparation and review of EOT claims related to Tunnel MEP and fit out works
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Typically years of planning/scheduling experience in construction or infrastructure projects
- Experience in tunnel projects, underground works, or large scale MEP and fit out packages is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience preparing and controlling schedules for MEP installation, fit out, and T&C phases
- Exposure to delay analysis and working with commercial/contracts teams on claims is preferred
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory)
- Strong skills in schedule development, activity coding, resource loading, and progress updating
- Good understanding of construction and installation methodologies for tunnel MEP and fit out works
- Working knowledge of earned value management and basic cost/time integration
- Proficiency in MS Excel and standard reporting tools
- Attention to detail with structured and methodical approach to planning and reporting
- Ability to work closely with site teams and translate construction methods into practical programmes

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Planner Tunnel MEP & Fit Out to join our team!
- The Senior Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling detailed project schedules for the Tunnel MEP and fit out works within the Diriyah Gate Development Infrastructure Program.
- Focus: scheduling and monitoring MEP installation, tunnel fit out, and associated testing & commissioning; integrating contractor programmes into overall tunnel systems schedule; supporting risk based planning and providing robust inputs for EOT and delay/claims analysis.
What You'll Be Doing Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, update, and maintain a detailed, logic linked schedule for Tunnel MEP and fit out works using Primavera P6.
- Establish and maintain WBS, CBS, and coding structures aligned with project and program reporting requirements.
- Define construction and installation sequences for tunnel MEP, architectural finishes, and fit out activities, including access, constraints, and interfaces.
- Coordinate and integrate contractors' schedules into a consolidated package programme and align with the tunnel systems master schedule.
- Prepare short term look ahead programmes (2 week, 4 week) and support site teams in planning upcoming activities.
Progress Measurement & Reporting
- Implement progress measurement systems for tunnel MEP and fit out activities, including earned value metrics (EV, PV, AC).
- Track actual progress versus baseline; identify variances, slippages, and emerging risks.
- Produce regular reports (weekly, monthly) including S curves and progress charts, critical and near critical path analysis, milestone tracking and forecast completion dates.
- Provide planning inputs and visualizations for internal reviews, client progress meetings, and steering committees.
Tunnel MEP & Fit Out Focus
- Work closely with MEP and fit out teams to ensure installation and T&C sequences are accurately reflected in the schedule.
- Plan and monitor activities related to mechanical systems (ventilation, drainage, pumping, firefighting), electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, emergency power), ELV, communication, and control systems (BMS/SCADA, communication, life safety), and architectural finishes and tunnel fit out
- Support coordination of testing & commissioning phases, including pre commissioning, integrated testing, and authority inspections.
EOT / Claims Support
- Assist in the preparation and review of EOT claims related to Tunnel MEP and fit out works.
- Develop and maintain schedules suitable for use in EOT and delay analysis (baseline and contemporaneous updates).
- Support Time Impact Analysis (TIA), windows analysis, and as planned vs as built comparisons.
- Work with the Senior Planning Manager and commercial team to provide schedule data, logic diagrams, and narrative inputs for EOT submissions and defense.
Risk Based Planning
- Contribute to schedule risk identification and assessment for tunnel MEP and fit out activities (access, interfaces, design changes, material deliveries, testing & commissioning).
- Support development and maintenance of risk registers and the linkage of key risks to schedule activities.
- Assist in evaluating mitigation and recovery options (re sequencing, resource reallocation, shift work, etc.) and incorporate agreed strategies into the schedule.
Coordination & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Diriyah Gate Development Authority and program management planning standards and procedures.
- Coordinate with construction, MEP, fit out, design, and commercial teams to maintain a realistic and agreed schedule.
- Participate in coordination meetings with contractors and consultants on planning, progress, and interfaces.
- Maintain proper documentation of schedule baselines, revisions, and approvals.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management (or related discipline).
