Role Overview

Drive sustainability and growth across Laine's pub portfolio.

Exceed area profitability targets while increasing pub turnover, maximising profit, and providing sound business advice.

Lead and coach at a senior level, creating development opportunities for the team and wider business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and improve underperforming and high-potential sites, lead CAPEX projects, and ensure successful refurbishments.
  • Recruit, develop, and coach Management Partners while supporting continuous learning and talent pipelines.
  • Drive commercial performance, manage KPIs, and steer marketing and business planning initiatives.
  • Maintain operational excellence and compliance, exceed guest expectations, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Accountabilities

  • Deliver strong business results, reduce underperformance, and pursue sustainable investment opportunities.
  • Build trust, motivate Management Partners, develop team capabilities, and lead with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Ensure excellent service and hospitality, adapt to changing needs, and reward high performance.
  • Promote teamwork, communicate clearly, and take ownership of area results.
  • Mentor and guide the Operations team to achieve departmental success.

About You

  • Have at least 3 years of experience in senior operations management.
  • Multi-site and customer-facing experience is preferred.
  • Have experience with pub refurbishments and CAPEX projects, plus strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, with strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Hold a full GB driving licence.
  • Relevant qualifications are preferred.
