Job Overview

  • Senior Operational Excellence Data Analyst responsible for achieving operational targets through independent ownership of moderately complex projects.
  • Operates under limited supervision, contributes to defining project objectives, and leads significant portions of initiatives supporting operational performance.
  • Regularly communicates with partners within Operations and related functions on topics requiring explanation, interpretation, and advisement.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and Sustain SFI Data & Operational Excellence Culture: Support, coach, and reinforce data driven decision making and Operational Excellence principles.
  • Operational Data Enablement & Business Partnership: Serve as bridge between Operations and technical data teams to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Production Data Needs & Use Case Definition: Understand, define, and prioritize data needs of production teams.
  • Data Structure Development, Collection, and Preparation: Develop, standardize, and maintain data structures and pipelines.
  • Data Exploration, Analysis, and Model Development: Apply analytical and statistical methods to explore data and identify trends.
  • Data Visualization, KPI Standards, and Reporting: Establish standards and develop clear data visualizations using Power BI.
  • Training, Enablement, and Capability Building: Provide targeted training to build Operations' capability in data analytics.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Leadership: Collaborate across functions to promote best practices.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Operations or related technical field.
  • 7+ years experience in manufacturing/operations, engineering, or technical area building operational metrics and dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, and/or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of statistical programming languages like Python or commitment to develop proficiency within 12 24 months.
  • Data collection, cleaning and governance practices.
  • Lean and Six Sigma disciplines where applicable.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to translate data into action.
  • Ownership, self started mindset; servant mindset.
  • Ability to travel 20% 40% as required.
