- Document completion of sanitation tasks accurately
- Follow food safety, GMP, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Maintain housekeeping standards and audit readiness
- Communicate issues to sanitation leaders or quality partners
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to follow sanitation procedures and safety guidelines
- Ability to read and understand chemical labels and SDS
- Basic math skills for chemical concentrations
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work in wet, hot, noisy environments
- Commitment to workplace safety and PPE use

Job Description
- The Sanitation Technician supports food manufacturing operations by performing cleaning and sanitation activities to ensure equipment, work areas, and facilities meet food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Hours: Monday Friday 8:45 pm 5 am, some overtime and weekends required.
What you’ll do
- Perform routine sanitation and cleaning of production equipment, tools, and facility areas.
- Operate sanitation equipment such as steam pressure hoses, chemical foamers, and cleaning systems.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble production equipment as required.
- Mix and apply cleaning and sanitizing chemicals according to approved concentrations.
- Verify sanitation effectiveness using approved tools and methods.
- Document completion of sanitation tasks accurately.
- Follow food safety, GMP, and sanitation requirements.
- Use proper lockout/tagout procedures and required PPE.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure audit readiness.
- Communicate sanitation issues to leaders or quality partners.
- Support production or sanitation team needs as assigned.
What you will need to succeed
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to follow sanitation procedures, chemical handling instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Ability to read and understand chemical labels, safety data, and SOPs.
- Basic math skills to measure and calculate chemical concentrations.
- Ability to accurately complete sanitation documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and food safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in wet, hot, noisy environments and around chemicals.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including PPE use and safety protocols.
