About the Role
DHL Global Forwarding seeks a Senior OFR Operations Specialist in Jeddah to manage ocean freight operations, including trade lane consolidation, customer relationships, and process improvement.

Responsibilities
- Implement OFR Ops/CS plans and processes to provide ocean freight services for internal and external customers
- Analyze and collate requirements of freight control center to support operations team
- Coordinate freight administration in providing allocation and reservations of freight on planned line haul
- Contribute to develop and execute plans for ocean freight products in areas such as perishables, pharmaceutical, aviation
- Identify opportunities to expand business with new clients and improve in house customer services
- Build close business relationship with existing clients, conduct customer visits
- Stay updated on account performances, draft and provide monthly reports to management
- Implement pricing strategy and respond to pricing enquiries
- Deliver day to day shipment documentation for freight forwarding
- Seek opportunities to enhance ocean freight productivity and resource allocation
- Analyze and provide input for processes and design systems to enhance service quality
- Resolve and analyze issues in day to day delivery and implement practices for OFR Ops/CS
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- More than 6 years of experience in ocean freight or logistics

Position Overview
- Build and develop trade lane consolidations for South African export traffic.
- Engage with the global DGF network to promote and develop the Gateway for neighboring countries and local coastal branches.
- Coordinate day to day operations within the Airfreight Gateway.
- Assist & support ACC Manager in rate & capacity procurement as required.
Ocean Freight Specialist Responsibilities
- Implement OFR Ops/CS plans and processes to provide ocean freight services.

In Area of OFR Product
- Create and/or confirm transport orders, perform and optimize bookings.
- Prepare, control, and distribute all required Import/Export documents.
- Identify performance issues of suppliers and propose solutions.
- Update Customs shipment information and physical status, resolve customer issues.
Qualifications
- Education Level: Bachelors Degree.
- Experience Level: more than 6 years.
