The role leads design, implementation, and maturity of metrics, alerting, and monitoring platforms across multiple client environments.

The architect sets observability direction while building solutions directly and owning standards for Prometheus and Grafana at scale.

The role includes client engagement and technical leadership for delivery teams.

Own Prometheus and Grafana solution architecture from greenfield design through operational handover.
Define reusable reference architectures across clients and deployment environments.
Architect alerting, event correlation, asset-to-service mappings, CMDB integrations, and ITSM ticketing workflows.
Design long-term storage and scalability using Mimir, Thanos, or Cortex with remote write and object storage.

Deploy and operate observability stacks in Kubernetes using kube-prometheus-stack, Prometheus Operator, kube-state-metrics, and exporters.
Establish standards for instrumentation, exporters, service discovery, dashboarding, and alert hygiene.
Provide L2 and higher technical escalation and serve as the authoritative observability owner.
