Position and Engagement
The position is Offshore Decommissioning Design Engineer - Mechanical and Structural Design Engineer.
The engagement is for a consultant or subject matter expert providing need-basis support in India.
The role focuses on heavy-lift engineering, offshore platforms, marine structures, and vessels.
Role Summary
- Bridge mechanical systems engineering and heavy structural analysis for complex North Sea offshore platform decommissioning projects.
- Design temporary structural modification frames, cutting equipment deployments, rigging appliances, and subsea removal tools.
Education and Experience
- A B.Eng., M.Eng., or M.Sc. is required in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Offshore or Naval Architecture, or Civil or Ocean Engineering.
- At least 12 years of offshore structural or mechanical design experience is required.
- Direct exposure to North Sea platform decommissioning, heavy lifting, and subsea intervention projects is required.
