Role Overview

IP Migration Responsibilities

• Assess servers, applications, databases, and network devices using public IP addresses.
• Develop a detailed migration plan with timelines, phased execution, backup strategies, and rollback procedures.
• Analyze application and service dependencies to identify and mitigate migration impacts.
• Design and allocate private IP ranges compatible with network architecture and infrastructure standards.
• Execute migration securely while maintaining business-critical applications and services.
• Coordinate firewall rules, routing, NAT, DNS, and access controls with relevant technical teams.
• Validate service availability, performance, and network stability after migration.
• Document changes, issues, root causes, and solutions across all migration phases.

DNS Responsibilities

• Assess DNS records to identify unused, obsolete, or outdated entries.
• Classify records by criticality, activity level, and operational validity.
• Remove or update invalid, obsolete, or unnecessary entries under approved change procedures.
• Protect applications, services, and end users from disruption during DNS cleanup.
• Establish periodic DNS review procedures and document changes for audit, compliance, and operational reference.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in enterprise network design, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, subnetting, and routing protocols.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale IP address migration projects in on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
• Solid knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, DNS, NAT, VPNs, and network security controls.
• Experience with high-availability and mission-critical environments and zero or minimal downtime delivery.
• Ability to analyze complex application-to-network dependencies.
• Familiarity with change management, rollback planning, and disaster recovery practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, Infoblox Technical Certification, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
