Senior Network Administrator role in IT services and IT consulting.
The listed work location is VAPORVM IT SERVICES DMCC.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current network infrastructure and design scalable, highly available, redundant, and high-performance architectures.
- Install, configure, and deploy routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
- Perform routine maintenance and monitor network performance using SNMP, NetFlow, or similar tools.
- Maintain uptime at or above 99.9%.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity, latency, security, and hardware issues.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical incidents.
- Implement security practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and support ISO 27001, ISO 20000, and cybersecurity framework compliance.
- Analyze traffic and recommend bandwidth optimizations.
- Lead cloud networking or SD-WAN migration projects.
- Maintain configuration documentation, prepare performance reports, and provide internal training or knowledge transfer.
- Assist with network project budgets and timelines.
Requirements
- Ability to design network architectures that support high availability, redundancy, scalability, and performance.
- Hands-on capability configuring routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
- Ability to monitor network performance and maintain uptime at or above 99.9%.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity, latency, security, and hardware incidents.
- Knowledge of network security practices, vulnerability assessments, ISO 27001, ISO 20000, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Availability to provide 24/7 on-call support for critical incidents.
- Ability to lead or support cloud networking and SD-WAN migration projects.
- Ability to document network configurations, report performance metrics, and deliver knowledge transfer to internal staff.
