Role Overview
The Senior Developer delivers quality software, works with cloud technologies, and follows software lifecycle and development procedures.
The role involves technical design, development, testing, deployment support, system maintenance, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Map business requirements to technical solutions and contribute to application design.
- Ensure system components are well written, performant, scalable, and capable of multi-instance operation where appropriate.
- Work with developers, analysts, testers, architects, delivery managers, and other stakeholders.
- Estimate work, define backlog items, write code and unit tests, and participate in daily stand-ups.
- Triage defects, track technical resolution, manage source control, and support continuous deployment.
- Take ownership of changes from development to live operation and provide third-line support.
People Leadership
- Share experience with team members, contribute to the learning culture, and mentor and guide other developers.
Experience and Attributes
- Solid technical expertise in relevant applications and technologies is required.
- The role requires communication, mentoring, deadline management, self-organization, teamwork, and delivery against commitments.
- Experience with complex or challenging projects is required.
Required Technical Skills
- Required technologies include C#, Git, unit test frameworks, SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.
Ideal Technical Experience
- Experience with Azure, web application technologies, HTML, JavaScript, Angular, React, and CSS is ideal.
- Experience working in agile environments is ideal.
