Senior Mine Engineer - Long Range (Hybrid)

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

• 1. B.S. Degree in Mining or related discipline. 2. 5 Years of experience in surface mining preferred. 3. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and concepts of open pit mining engineering. 4. General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of milling and maintenance operations. 5. Working knowledge of computer-aided mine design and familiarity with one or more commercial software packages (MineSight, Deswik, Vulcan, Studio NPVS etc.) 6. Proficiency in MS Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 7. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) including presenting to senior leadership. 8. Technical writing abilities preferred. 9. Ability to learn quickly and to function within the physical demand requirements. 10. Understanding of Kinross’ processes and corporate values is an asset. 11. Ability to work independently and as a member of the Engineering Team. 12. Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis. 13. Requires valid driver’s license.
