The position requires expertise in Java-based microservices, OpenShift, production troubleshooting, monitoring, and DevOps practices.

- The workplace is on-site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- The role operates within a 24x7 support organization and requires rotating shifts and on-call coverage.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Level 2 and Level 3 production support for enterprise microservices applications.
- Lead production incidents and coordinate resolution with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across application, middleware, infrastructure, and performance issues.
- Monitor production systems and identify risks, degradation, and potential outages.
- Support deployments, release management, rollbacks, and environment readiness in OpenShift.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets in line with service-level agreements.
- Analyse logs, JVM behaviour, container health, and infrastructure metrics.
- Drive permanent solutions, maintain support documentation, and mentor junior engineers.
- Support release planning, production readiness, disaster recovery, failover testing, and business continuity activities.
Required technical skills
- Expert-level troubleshooting of distributed microservices applications.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and REST APIs.
- Technology experience includes Java, Quarkus, Spring Boot, Redis, and message queue technologies such as RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, Kafka, or similar.
- Experience with production monitoring, application performance analysis, root cause analysis, and problem management.
- Experience supporting DevOps practices, CI/CD, containerized applications, Linux administration, and shell scripting.
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
Preferred experience
- 6–10 or more years in application support, production support, or Site Reliability Engineering is preferred.
- At least 4 years supporting Java-based microservices in enterprise production environments is preferred.
- OpenShift or Kubernetes experience and experience with highly available, mission-critical applications are preferred.
- Experience in Agile and DevOps environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous.
