Job Overview
The Senior MEP Project Engineer will handle quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, Material Requests, project planning and scheduling, commissioning support, and project handover activities.
The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
Experience and Qualification
- The role requires a diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- At least 3 years of MEP project experience is required.
- Project Management qualifications or relevant training are preferred.
Estimation and Materials
- Review approved and GFC drawings, specifications, and tender documents for MEP systems.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, detailed BOQs, material requests, variation sheets, and technical justifications.
- Coordinate with procurement on vendor selection and timely material delivery.
Planning and Cost Control
- Prepare project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project with work breakdown structures.
- Develop resource loading plans, manpower histograms, and time-phased budgets.
- Identify material gaps and variation quantities and coordinate customer variation claims with Sales.
