Responsibilities

- Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions

- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship, installation quality, and construction progress
- Review and witness testing and commissioning activities for all MEP systems
- Ensure all MEP works comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Review contractors' requests for inspections and verify completed works prior to approval
- Monitor construction schedules and identify delays affecting MEP activities
- Attend project coordination meetings with the Client, contractors, consultants, and authorities
- Review and evaluate variation orders, claims, and technical proposals related to MEP works
- Verify as built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and project close out documentation
- Coordinate authority inspections and ensure timely approvals
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum 15 years of total professional experience
- At least 10 years of experience in construction supervision of building projects
- Minimum 7 years of UAE/Dubai experience with engineering consultancy firms
- Extensive experience in high rise residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed use, or institutional projects
- Thorough knowledge of local authority requirements including Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defense, DEWA, RTA, and other relevant authorities
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, electrical systems, ELV systems, and building services
- Familiarity with UAE building regulations, international codes, and industry standards
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities

Job Summary
- The Senior MEP Engineer is responsible for supervising all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works during the construction phase to ensure compliance with contract documents, project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements.
- The role involves coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, authorities, and the project supervision team to ensure the successful execution of MEP works in terms of quality, safety, progress, and cost.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Professional Engineer registration or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- Membership in a recognized professional engineering institution is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of total professional experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in construction supervision of building projects.
- Minimum 7 years of UAE/Dubai experience with engineering consultancy firms.
- Extensive experience in high rise residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed use, or institutional projects.
