Role Overview
Lead landscape and public realm design for large-scale entertainment, leisure, cultural, and mixed-use developments.
Work client-side across complex multidisciplinary projects from concept through construction and operational readiness.
Support design excellence, sustainability, efficient delivery, and memorable guest experiences.
Design Management and Delivery
- Lead landscape and public realm design across multiple projects and approved masterplans.
- Review and coordinate drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, BIM outputs, and related design packages.
- Develop execution strategies and oversee delivery against scope, programme, budget, and quality objectives.
- Coordinate landscape, architecture, infrastructure, utilities, transportation, lighting, signage, and wayfinding disciplines.
Governance and Consultants
- Support consultant procurement, technical reviews, commercial evaluations, tender assessments, and appointment recommendations.
- Manage external consultants against contractual obligations, programme requirements, and quality expectations.
- Contribute to governance reviews, stage gates, executive reporting, risk management, and issue resolution.
Compliance and Sustainability
- Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, authority requirements, environmental standards, and approved design criteria.
- Promote water-sensitive urban design, climate-responsive solutions, sustainable drainage, biodiversity, and resilient planting.
- Safeguard approved masterplans, design guidelines, and development control requirements.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Build relationships with stakeholders, consultants, and delivery partners to support successful project outcomes.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal capability development and knowledge sharing.
- Champion health, safety, wellbeing, collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, or a directly related discipline.
- Chartered Landscape Architect qualification or an equivalent internationally recognized professional qualification.
- Extensive experience in large-scale landscape and public realm projects, especially destination developments.
- Strong knowledge of landscape architecture, placemaking, hardscape, softscape, irrigation, hydrology, and climate-responsive design.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Arabian native and adaptive planting, water conservation, sustainable drainage, and sustainability frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong working knowledge of Revit, BIM workflows, Aconex, ACC, and digital design management platforms.
- Adobe Creative Suite experience is desirable.
Communication and Regional Experience
- Fluent written and spoken English with strong presentation, report writing, and technical review capabilities.
- Middle East experience and familiarity with Saudi Arabian regulations, standards, and sustainability requirements are highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management, decision-making, commercial awareness, and collaborative leadership skills.
