Main Objective of Role
Lead the IT PMO and oversee the IT portfolio across planning, budgeting, governance, delivery, and performance.
Ensure technology investments are strategically aligned, prioritized, successfully delivered, and supported by executive visibility.
Portfolio Planning and Governance
- Support annual IT planning, demand consolidation, portfolio prioritization, CAPEX/OPEX budgeting, and investment allocation recommendations.
- Establish PMO standards, governance, and delivery methodologies against approved scope, budgets, timelines, and outcomes.
- Maintain visibility of portfolio delivery, financials, risks, dependencies, and constraints.
Investment and Resources
- Review business cases, investment priorities, and CAPEX approval submissions for strategic alignment and value.
- Oversee resource demand, capacity, and allocation across projects and IT lines of business.
- Govern the IT change request portfolio through assessment, prioritization, funding, resourcing, and delivery tracking.
Vendors, Risks, and Reporting
- Support IT vendor management with Procurement, including performance, commercial matters, contracts, renewals, and external resources.
- Oversee portfolio risks, issues, and cross-project dependencies and ensure mitigation, resolution, and escalation.
- Provide senior leadership with portfolio insights, forward-looking risks, and recommendations.
PMO Improvement
- Review portfolio performance and benefits and recommend reprioritization, resource or funding reallocation, re-scoping, or closure.
- Enhance PMO processes, tools, and capabilities using data, automation, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with specialization in IT or engineering; MBA is preferred.
- Fluency in English.
- 10 to 12 years of experience with the required qualifications.
- Experience managing large IT portfolio projects, developing strategic partnerships, and managing workforce planning for a large IT organization.
- PMI or ITIL certification is stated; Six Sigma accreditation is an advantage.
