Senior Manager, Electrical Engineering Data Center Design

Multiple projects, programs or portfolio-focused for department. Owns and deliver areas of work in service of annual goals of the team. Expertly identifies solutions to solve ambiguous, open-ended problems that require tough prioritization and cross-team dependencies. Is a leader for the team with impact extending outside the team.

Scope & Summary - Team-focus. Focused on advancing the strategic priorities of the team, prioritizing work across the team, and directing work quality and timing. Ensures everyone is learning and growing, that key priorities are being met, and that the team has the context and clear decisions it needs to be successful.

Knowledge & Technical Skill – Provides sound technical leadership to the team. Uses technical knowledge to drive high quality work across the team and help team members develop technical knowledge needed to master their role and ensure the team can deliver.

Team Execution & Strategic Direction - Prioritizes and delegates work effectively to team members. Holds team accountable to results. Helps team make good decisions and set metrics for success that drive team forward. Unblocks the team when stuck. Owns budget and goals for team.

Communication & Collaboration – Communicates context to the team and surfaces requirements to relevant senior people within the business. Works to resolve conflict within and across teams. Helps establish a transparent, clear and humble communication environment at Rowan. Disagrees and commits when needed and owns messages to the team.

Team & Company Development – Contributes to the career development of the team. Empowers those around them and meets regularly with their direct reports, providing frequent feedback, helping the individuals set goals and work to ensure employee growth and retention. Supports on hiring activities within their function.
