About The Role

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Ecommerce Manager to own and grow our online retail presence in the Gulf.

This is a hands-on role for someone who combines deep platform expertise with a strong understanding of digital marketing — someone who knows enough to hold an agency accountable.

Experience operating in the UAE and/or KSA markets is a significant advantage; we want someone who understands the nuances of the region and can hit the ground running.

Platform & Operations

  • Own day-to-day management of our Magento-based ecommerce store, including product catalogue, promotions, content updates, and performance monitoring
  • Identify and implement platform improvements, integrations, and optimisations to enhance site performance, UX, and conversion rates
  • Manage third-party vendors and technical teams to deliver projects on time and on budget

Digital Marketing Oversight

  • Serve as the internal point of contact for our digital marketing agency, managing the relationship and ensuring work is delivered to a high standard
  • Review and critically evaluate agency output across Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max) and paid social (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat) — pushing back where needed and asking the right questions
  • Ensure campaigns are aligned to business objectives, with clear KPIs agreed upfront and performance reviewed regularly
  • Understand channel mechanics well enough to spot underperformance, challenge recommendations, and contribute meaningfully to strategy discussions
  • Work with the agency and internal creative teams to brief compelling, region-appropriate ad content

Commercial & Reporting

  • Own ecommerce KPIs including revenue, conversion rate, AOV, traffic, and customer acquisition cost
  • Produce regular performance reports and present findings to senior stakeholders
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends across the UAE and KSA

Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, logistics, customer service, buying, and finance teams to ensure a seamless customer experience end to end
  • Act as the connective tissue between technical teams and commercial stakeholders — translating business needs into platform requirements and vice versa

Required

  • 5+ years of ecommerce management experience, ideally within a pure-play or digitally native business
  • Hands-on Magento experience (configuration, catalogue management, extensions, troubleshooting) — this is a must
  • Solid working knowledge of Google Ads and paid social — you may not be running campaigns yourself, but you know how they work and how to evaluate performance
  • Comfortable reading dashboards, spotting trends, and asking the right questions of an agency
  • Strong analytical skills — confident in GA4, Google Ads dashboards, and Excel/Sheets
  • Experience working in or for the UAE and/or KSA market
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego working style

Preferred

  • Familiarity with GCC consumer behaviour and localisation requirements (Arabic content, local payment gateways, local seasonal calendars)
  • Experience managing or working alongside digital agencies
  • Familiarity with tools such as Hotjar, Klaviyo, SEMrush, or similar
  • Understanding of SEO best practices
