About the Role

Responsibilities
- Provide product design direction and oversight of a mobile native design system product at scale
- Formulate and validate design hypotheses through iterative releases of MVP to align objectives with internal design and engineering teams
- Align to Agile methodology and promote a test and learn approach to build, deliver, and refine products
- Facilitate demos, presentations, workshops, and stakeholder sessions with partners across business, product, technology, risk, legal, etc.
- Empower a team to succeed with a shared vision, delegating authority and removing obstacles
- Establish a cadence for regular check ins and empower the team to manage day to day tasks
- Provide career, leadership development, coaching, and guidance through recurring team and one on one check ins
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience as a designer with a minimum of 3 5 years leading teams and complex digital projects
- Experience with design systems and working closely with engineering partners
- Highly skilled in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript with a solid understanding of system design
- A systematic thinker who seeks patterns and is comfortable with ambiguity
- Project management skills to plan and analyze resources to meet delivery requirements
- Experience coaching and mentoring team members

Job Description
- As a leader of the Design System team, you will make decisions to empower your team to make work efficient, effective, and enjoyable.
- You will provide thought leadership to set up a high performing product design team and operationalize the team within an Agile framework.
- You will optimize the effectiveness of the design team over time within a collaborative, cross functional, matrixed enterprise environment.
What will you do?
