Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies focused on transport projects to maximize profitability and value
• Lead contract negotiations and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and partners in the transport sector
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring adherence to cost controls
• Collaborate with finance, legal, procurement, and project management teams to ensure cohesive project delivery
• Identify commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies specific to transport projects
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the commercial team involved in transport initiatives
• Prepare and present detailed reports on commercial performance to senior management
• Keep abreast of market trends and regulatory developments in the transport industry

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in
• Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Cost Engineering, Legal or related field MBA or equivalent is preferred
• 10 - 15 years' Commercial construction delivery experience - ideally Contractor and Consultancy and working in Program wide roles, working with large commercial teams across multiple projects
• Major program experience - managing multiple projects, conflicting priorities, and stakeholders.
• Previous KSA /Middle East experience preferred
• Experience leading Commercial Management of Major Projects in a highly regulated, complex, matrixed environments evidencing Full project life-cycle involvement (Bidding thorough to Final Account).
• Subject matter expert in contracts, claims, arbitration.
• Supports team through period of business changes in responding to changing business requirements.
• Provides strategic support and guidance in managing and prioritizing the workload of a commercial and contract administration team, deadline-driven and ability to optimize workload.
• Ability to leverage exceptional written and verbal skills in English - articulate ideas, strategies, and project performance to a range of audiences and to influence at senior levels.
• Ability to leverage in-depth knowledge of enterprise-level management software, such as Prism, SAP, or similar systems
• Leadership skills to inspire large, diverse teams and deliver results.
• Leadership skills and the ability to lead the commercial function's direction, specifically endorsing or opposing practices as needed
