Senior Landscape Engineer – Design & Site Execution

Role Overview

Design and Technical Responsibilities

• Develop landscape concepts, layouts, design proposals, coordinated drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction details.
• Select climate-appropriate plants and develop irrigation layouts, zoning, and water demand calculations.
• Coordinate levels, drainage, accessibility, utilities, lighting, structures, and specialist design interfaces.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, material schedules, technical comparisons, RFIs, and technical submissions.
• Review supplier and subcontractor documents, maintain approval records, and prepare as-built and handover information.

Site Execution, Quality, and Safety

• Supervise foremen, labor, suppliers, and subcontractors across hardscape, softscape, and irrigation works.
• Verify setting-out, levels, substrates, materials, workmanship, planting, irrigation tests, drainage, and waterproofing interfaces.
• Prepare inspection requests, attend consultant inspections, document defects, and verify corrective actions.
• Coordinate procurement, deliveries, site resources, installation sequences, progress, productivity, and material usage.
• Manage snagging, handover, plant replacement, and establishment-period obligations.
• Direct safe working practices and monitor hazards, PPE, access, housekeeping, excavation, lifting, tools, chemicals, and heat exposure.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
• At least five years of relevant landscape experience, including at least three years in Saudi Arabia.
• Demonstrated experience in both landscape design and hands-on site execution on large-scale developments.
• Strong knowledge of hardscape, softscape, irrigation, local plant suitability, drawings, specifications, and quantity take-offs.
• Familiarity with Saudi codes, municipal requirements, project specifications, site safety, and occupational health.
• Advanced AutoCAD, strong Excel, suitable 3D or visualization software, and technical reporting in English are required.
• The role requires full-time, on-site work in Huraymila and immediate joining.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with luxury hotels, resorts, residential compounds, and high-end public or commercial spaces.
• Experience taking projects from concept and detailed design through execution and handover.
• Experience with water-efficient irrigation and climate-appropriate planting.
• Familiarity with Revit, BIM coordination, and Navisworks.
• Training in irrigation, horticulture, construction quality, or occupational health and safety.

Workplace and Availability

• The role is on-site in Huraymila, Riyadh Region, and requires applicants to be currently based in Saudi Arabia.
• Immediate joining is required.
