About the Role

- Report to Construction Director/Resident Engineer and act as discipline lead for landscape works on site
- Supervise and monitor construction of all landscape works (softscape, planting, turf, soil works, etc.)
- Review and comment on shop drawings, planting plans, coordination drawings, material submittals, method statements, and ITPs
- Conduct daily site inspections and regular site walks to monitor progress, workmanship, and quality
- Verify plant species, sizes, quantities, spacing, and locations against approved drawings
- Coordinate and follow up on inspection requests, NCRs, and site observations with contractor
- Liaise with hardscape architects, utilities engineers, irrigation specialists, and other teams
- Review and approve samples, mock ups, and trial planting areas
- Oversee plant delivery, handling, storage, and installation
- Monitor initial maintenance and establishment periods
- Review and verify as built drawings and landscape O&M manuals
- Participate in progress, technical, and coordination meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or closely related field
- Extensive experience in landscape construction supervision on large scale public realm, parks, or urban development projects
- Strong understanding of landscape design, horticulture, planting design, and soil/plant relationships
- Proven experience in site based supervision, quality control, and coordination with multi disciplinary teams
- Ability to read and interpret landscape, architectural, structural, and utility drawings
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving skills
- Familiarity with HSE and quality management systems in construction

What You’ll Be Doing
- Report to the Construction Director/Resident Engineer and act as the discipline lead for landscape works on site.
- Supervise and monitor the construction of all landscape works (softscape, planting, turf, soil works, planters, irrigation interface, site furniture, etc.) to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
- Review and comment on shop drawings, planting plans, coordination drawings, material submittals, method statements, and ITPs related to landscape works.
- Conduct daily site inspections and regular site walks to monitor progress, workmanship, quality of planting, soil preparation, and layout.
- Verify plant species, sizes, quantities, spacing, and locations against the approved drawings and plant schedules.
- Check that levels, grading, planting bed shapes, edges, and transitions are consistent with the design.
- Coordinate and follow up on inspection requests (IRs), NCRs, and site observations with the contractor.
- Liaise closely with hardscape architects, wet and dry utilities engineers, irrigation specialists, structural and architectural teams, and the contractor.
- Review and approve samples, mock ups, and trial planting areas before full scale implementation.
- Oversee plant delivery, handling, storage, and installation, ensuring plants meet quality and health standards.
- Monitor initial maintenance and establishment periods, including irrigation, fertilization, pruning, and replacement of dead or failed plants.
- Review and verify as built drawings and landscape O&M manuals for completeness and accuracy.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- Extensive experience in landscape construction supervision, preferably on large scale public realm, parks, or urban development projects.
- Strong understanding of landscape design, horticulture, planting design, and soil/plant relationships, including regional plant species suitable for arid climates.
