Responsibilities
- Report to the Resident Engineer/Construction Director and act as the lead surveyor for all site surveying and setting out verification activities
- Supervise and coordinate Parsons’ survey team and review the contractor’s survey work
- Verify control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates established by the contractor
- Check and confirm contractor’s setting out for alignments, levels, coordinates, and dimensions
- Conduct independent spot checks and surveys to confirm constructed works
- Review and comment on contractor’s survey reports, layout drawings, as built surveys, and topographic surveys
- Identify and report discrepancies between design drawings and site conditions
- Coordinate survey activities with discipline engineers
- Maintain and ensure proper use, calibration, and safekeeping of survey equipment
- Manage and maintain organized digital and hard copy records of survey data
- Support verification of earthwork quantities and volumetric calculations
- Participate in progress and coordination meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering from a recognized institution
- Experience in land/engineering surveying on large scale infrastructure, public realm, or urban development projects, including several years in a senior or lead surveyor role
- Strong proficiency in modern survey instruments and software (total stations, GPS/GNSS, digital levels, survey data processing tools)
- Solid understanding of surveying principles, coordinate systems, leveling, and construction setting out
- Proven experience in site based construction supervision environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering, architectural, and utility drawings
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and record keeping
- Good communication and coordination skills

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for a Senior Land Surveyor to join their site based construction supervision team on a major public realm development in Diriyah.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Report to the Resident Engineer/Construction Director and act as the lead surveyor for all site surveying and setting‑out verification activities.
- Supervise and coordinate Parsons’ survey team and review the contractor’s survey work to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Verify the control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates established by the contractor.
- Check and confirm the contractor’s setting‑out for alignments, levels, coordinates, and dimensions for roads, utilities, structures, hardscape, landscape features, and other works.
- Conduct independent spot checks and surveys to confirm that constructed works are in accordance with approved drawings and tolerances.
- Review and comment on the contractor’s survey reports, layout drawings, as‑built surveys, and topographic surveys.
- Identify and report any discrepancies between design drawings and site conditions.
- Coordinate survey activities with discipline engineers (roads, structures, wet and dry utilities, hardscape, landscape) to support interface and clash avoidance.
- Maintain and ensure proper use, calibration, and safekeeping of survey equipment (total stations, GPS/GNSS, levels, laser instruments, etc.).
- Manage and maintain an organized digital and hard copy record of survey data, field notes, and as‑built information.
- Support the verification of earthwork quantities, volumetric calculations, and measurement.
- Participate in progress and coordination meetings and provide survey related inputs.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring

- Experience in land/engineering surveying on large scale infrastructure, public realm, or urban development projects, including at least several years in a senior or lead surveyor role.
- Strong proficiency in the use of modern survey instruments and software, including total stations, GPS/GNSS, digital levels, and survey data processing tools.

- Good communication and coordination skills, able to work effectively with multi disciplinary teams and contractors.
- Experience in KSA or the GCC region is preferred.
