Senior IT Field Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote IT support to customers across the UAE.
• Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, server, network, application, and infrastructure issues.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows, macOS, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot, and Azure services.
• Support physical servers, RAID, iDRAC/iLO, firmware, storage, memory, disks, and hardware failures.
• Support VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization environments.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VLAN, VPN, routing, switching, SD-WAN, and internet connectivity issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot Fortinet FortiGate, Sophos, Cisco, Ubiquiti, and similar security platforms.
• Implement and troubleshoot MFA, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, EDR/XDR, endpoint protection, email security, and identity-security controls.
• Support Acronis, Veeam, Azure Backup, restore testing, and disaster-recovery activities.
• Perform health checks, patching, firmware upgrades, monitoring, preventive maintenance, and backup testing.
• Handle Microsoft 365 migrations, tenant administration, user onboarding and offboarding, mailbox, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and security issues.
• Support storage, printers, scanners, IP phones, access points, CCTV-related connectivity, and other IT peripherals.

Technical Skills

• Microsoft infrastructure skills include Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot, and Azure.
• Server and virtualization skills include Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo servers, RAID, iDRAC/iLO, VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, virtual machines, storage, and backup infrastructure.
• Networking skills include TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPN, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, and network troubleshooting.
• Security skills include Microsoft Defender, MFA, Conditional Access, EDR/XDR, endpoint protection, firewall security, email security, and cybersecurity practices.
• Modern IT management skills include RMM, PSA and ticketing systems, remote monitoring, patch management, endpoint management, and IT asset management.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, information systems, networking, cybersecurity, or a closely related IT discipline is required.
• At least five years of hands-on IT infrastructure or field-support experience is required.
• Strong experience supporting business customers in field or on-site environments is required.
• Previous experience with an IT service provider, MSP, system integrator, or outsourced IT support company is strongly preferred.
• Relevant Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, VMware, Azure, or similar certifications are advantageous.
• A valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
• The role requires travel to customer sites across Dubai and other Emirates when needed.

• The role involves on-site customer support as well as remote IT support.
• Customer-site travel across Dubai and other Emirates is required when needed.
