Integrity: We always do the right thing. It’s simple, but it’s the foundation of everything we build for our customers and each other.
Outcomes: We work for our customers. Their success and prosperity are the results we focus on delivering.
Velocity: We are fast! We maintain high energy levels and make smart decisions quickly, keeping us nimble and ahead of the curve.
5+ years of professional experience shipping production iOS applications to the App Store, with deep, hands-on expertise in Swift.
Deep experience with reactive, stream-based state management. You can design, read, and debug asynchronous data flow at scale, and you understand where reactive patterns earn their complexity and where they don't.
A strong grasp of modern structured concurrency, and experience introducing it into an established codebase incrementally and safely — not only applying it on greenfield work.
A track record of evolving a large, long-lived codebase, Experience with modular architecture at scale, designing dependency boundaries that hold up under delivery pressure, and treating build performance as an engineering concern rather than an inconvenience.
A rigorous, layered testing strategy. You can articulate what belongs in a unit test versus an integration test versus an end-to-end test, you design for testability rather than retrofitting it, and you know how to keep a suite fast and trustworthy as it grows.
Genuine ownership of the delivery pipeline, not just code that passes through it. You treat build, test, and release automation as a product surface with its own reliability bar.
A solid command of on-device security fundamentals: secure credential storage, biometric and in-app authentication, session and token lifecycle, and clear judgement about what should never be stored on a device at all.
Experience in a regulated or high-compliance environment (fintech, healthtech, or similar), with an instinct for the extra care that identity flows demand.
Systematic diagnostic skill. You reach for profiling and instrumentation rather than guesswork, and you have the patience to reproduce a failure that only appears on one OS version or one device.
Clear, structured written communication. You can write a design document that carries a multi-sprint project, and a post-mortem that stakeholders across the business can actually follow and act on.

Confidence with open-ended, ambiguous problems. You can identify the real issue from partial, conflicting, or vague information, and drive it to resolution with occasional check-ins rather than close direction.
Experience mentoring engineers, through code review, pairing, and technical guidance and raising the standard of the people around you.
A genuine instinct for customer impact, and comfort using data to understand customer behaviour rather than relying on assumption.
Own delivery of team-level outcomes end-to-end on our iOS identity flows, from technical design through release to production monitoring.
Set and maintain the quality bar for the team's codebase: strengthen the testing strategy, tighten the delivery pipeline, keep architectural boundaries meaningful, and help bring down change-failure rate.
Mentor engineers on the team and act as a technical point of reference within your domain.
Collaborate directly with Product and Design to shape technical approach and surface risk early, rather than working from fully-specified tickets — including where an iOS-native interaction should differ from the Android one rather than be forced into parity.
Experience integrating and troubleshooting third-party identity-verification or fraud and device-signal SDKs, including managing the vendor relationship when behaviour differs across devices.
Experience with object-database or reactive persistence layers alongside conventional approaches.
Exposure to cross-platform frameworks such as React Native — enough to work confidently at the boundary between native code and a JavaScript layer.
Exposure to Android development — enough to keep cross-platform behaviour honest and review a counterpart's change.
Experience in remittance, payments, or other cross-border fintech.
Experience operating under external regulatory oversight (FCA, KYC/AML frameworks, PCI, or equivalent).
A genuine curiosity about AI and how it can be applied in your area of work — from accelerating analysis and insight generation, to improving how we design and deliver processes and communications.
Practical experience using AI tools in a professional context — whether to connect information, draft content, build frameworks, or create insights from data. We want people who actively use AI to increase productivity, not those who are waiting to be told to.
Strong AI literacy — an understanding of what AI assistants can and cannot do, how to prompt effectively, and how to critically evaluate AI-generated output before using it.
Awareness of the ethical considerations and responsible use of AI in the workplace, particularly in the context of sensitive data, customer experience, and compliance.
Prior experience using Claude (Anthropic) is a nice-to-have but not essential — what matters most is that you are genuinely engaged with AI as a tool, comfortable experimenting, and eager to share what works with your wider team
