Role Overview
The Senior Inspection Engineer oversees inspection and quality control activities.
The role reports to the Inspection Supervisor or Senior Inspector.
The role covers South Bombay and the wider western line.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of materials, components, machines, cranes, equipment, structures, and finished products.
- Measure items using vernier calipers, micrometres, screw gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Identify, document, and report deviations, defects, and non-conformities.
- Prepare inspection checklists, reports, and other required documentation.
- Supervise and guide Assistant Inspection Engineers and junior team members during field inspections.
- Review reports, coordinate with clients and site teams, and assist with quality audits.
- Recommend and monitor corrective actions for identified issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain inspection records and submit reports within required timelines.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment and travel to client locations as required.
