- Lead implementation of advanced principles, theories, and concepts in HSSE
- Lead on unusually complex HSSE problems and provide solutions
- Facilitate partnerships with key stakeholders
- Assign work to employees, oversee and track completion
- Interview and select personnel for assignment
- Maintain work standards, provide training, conduct performance evaluations
- Prepare needed reports
- Ensure adherence to corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in construction projects, specifically health, safety, security and environment
- OSHA Certified is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English
- Demonstrated teamwork and management skills
- Proven experience of working within complex construction environment
- Ability to work in a matrix organization
- Strong Contractor Management skills

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Health and Safety Manager to join our Logistics team in Riyadh.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the planning and initial site set up and production of the HSSE plans, integrated with the wider engineering and logistics plans to give a city wide approach.
- Develops standard operating procedures for HSSE of the program and ensure that QIP follow them so there is operational consistency across the program.
- Coordinate with other delivery partners (Jacobs and Mace), as well as QIC and all existing contractors, and future planned procurement of major contractors.
- Plan and implement HSSE strategies and approaches in accordance with the completed and approved HSSE plan.
- Lead the implementation and application of advanced principles, theories, and concepts, ensuring compliance and consistency across the delivery teams.
- Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas, leading in the fields of HSSE.
- Leads on unusually complex HSSE problems and provides solutions that are highly creative, in coordination with site and engineering leads.
- Facilitates partnerships with key stakeholders/organizations impacted by the program.
- Assigns work to employees, oversees, and tracks the completion of work assignments.
- Interviews and selects personnel for assignment as required.
- Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals; provides training and development; completes performance evaluations, conducts employee counselling, takes corrective action as necessary.
- Prepare the needed reports.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline with minimum 15 years’ experience in construction projects, specifically health, safety, security and environment.
- Advantageous to have experience in Saudi Arabia.
- OSHA Certified is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.
- Demonstrated teamwork and management skills.
- Proven experience of working within complex construction environment.
- Ability to follow through clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization (dual reporting). Ability to interact with senior level management. Ability to consult, motivate, and negotiate effectively with client groups, co workers, employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Must function effectively under time constraints, schedule workload to meet deadlines, and have the ability to prioritize.
- Strong Contractor Management skills.
