About the Role
Parsons Corporation is looking for a Senior Highway Design Engineer to work on large major infrastructure projects in Dubai. You will independently develop engineering deliverables, carry out complex highway design tasks using Civil 3D and MicroStation, and mentor junior engineers.

- Independently develop and/or oversee the creation of engineering deliverables that meet customer quality requirements
- Define the problem, establish work scope, prepare budgets and schedules, plan the work, provide technical direction, and report work status
- Carry out complex highway engineering tasks, such as developing options for complicated road schemes and major grade separated crossings
- Extract engineering information from CAD drawings and check/design 3D models using Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads
- Produce engineering computations, material quantity take offs, estimates, surveys, and designs
- Develop drawings, specifications, data sheets, requisitions, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction
- Review supplier drawing submittals and conduct technical bid analyses
- When required, sign and seal professional engineering documents, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances
- Act in an advisory capacity to senior management on engineering related matters when appropriate
- Offer input and guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers, and may supervise one or more subordinates
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering from a recognized University
- Minimum 8+ years experience in highway design with thorough knowledge of Highway Design Software
- Excellent command of AutoCAD and Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation
- Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc.
- Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to guide and motivate and train junior engineers within the team

Job Description

What You'll Be Doing
- Independently develops and/or oversees the creation of engineering deliverables that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing budgets and schedules, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting work status.
- Typical deliverables include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, technical reports, proposal evaluations, and detailed analyses.
- Supports other engineering activities as required and can serve as lead engineer for a specific discipline on small to intermediate‑size projects.
- Offers input and guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and lower‑level Engineers, and may supervise one or more subordinates, including contributing to performance reviews.
- Carries out complex highway engineering tasks, such as developing options for complicated road schemes and major grade‑separated crossings, in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings and checks/designs 3D models using Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads.
- Produces engineering computations, material quantity take‑offs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
- Develops drawings, specifications, data sheets, requisitions, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction; frequently coordinates with other engineering disciplines and departments.
- Reviews supplier drawing submittals and conducts technical bid analyses.
- When required, signs and seals professional engineering documents, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
- Acts in an advisory capacity to senior management on engineering‑related matters when appropriate.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as needed.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering from a recognized University.
- Minimum 8+ years experience in highway design with thorough knowledge of Highway Design Software.
- Excellent command of AutoCAD and Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation.
- Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
- Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team.
- Ability to guide and motivate and train junior engineers within the team.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Bentley OpenRoads skills are desirable.
- Preferred to have experience in Dubai/UAE.
- Experience with Dubai RTA projects or similar is desirable.
